Live Music Options for your Cocktail Hour

By Adrian Cavlan

So, maybe you gave it a lot of thought and in the end you decided the best, most versatile and most cost-effective entertainment for your wedding or party was to get a DJ.

Well, GOOD. Thanks for supporting our industry! And, if you haven’t yet heard, we are pretty proud of the reputation we have earned here at Sound In Motion for the quality of our DJ services, so please let us know if you’d like to find out more.

Now DJs are great. Especially really good DJs. But what about adding a little bit of zip? Spice? Pizzazz? Here’s a great way to do it: a little bit of LIVE music.

Notice how I said “a little bit”: there was a purpose to that statement. It is exactly that - a little bit. Meaning that if your DJ is your main entertainment and host/MC, maybe that zip/spice thing can be added by having, say, a live keyboard and sax duo for your cocktail hour? Or maybe a harpist for your wedding ceremony? Or maybe a small live band for your after-party?The options are many, and the results are always great (provided that you don’t hire some total hack or someone who thinks that “the show is all about ME!”. “Show”... isn’t that rich? LOL!)
