Remember to Press RECORD :)

By Raffi Nalvarian

There is something that over the years I've realized SHOULD BE a part of every wedding ceremony and reception:

VIDEO!

I've witnessed crazy dance moves, and unforgettable toasts. But there was one moment in my career that SCREAMED video was a must!!

The day a groom's own grandfather was the officiant for his ceremony.   He was 88 years old and had served in The U.S. military during World War II.

At the time the groom was serving in the military himself. He was a fighter pilot who had done 3 tours in Iraq. The grandfather, with no notes or book in hand, proceeded to deliver a ceremony that nobody would soon forget.

I have goosebumps thinking about it as I write this.

His stories were from the heart of a man who had lived and seen a lot in his lifetime.

I was getting choked up listening to the emotion in his voice as he shared life moments that mattered most.I looked to see if anyone was recording the stories and guess what....NOT ONE video camera was rolling.

This was a ceremony that should have been recorded and watched over and over again.

Not to mention being passed along to future generations to appreciate.

Do yourself a favor and record one of the most memorable days of your life.

Your kids will thank you :)
